We are hiring a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Columbus, Ohio facility. In this role, you will manage the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive all incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and document any discrepancies.
- Inspect goods for damage and ensure proper storage procedures are followed.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and staging orders accurately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (certification may be required/provided).
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent receiving and shipping processes.
- Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving docks to ensure a clean and safe workspace.
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, and participate in safety training.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall logistics flow.
- Ensure all items are handled with care to prevent damage during the receiving or shipping process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving, or a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment and basic computer systems.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Knowledge of safety best practices and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
