Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate for our facility in Washington, D.C. This position is crucial for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, playing a vital role in our company's Logistics operations. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for accurately documenting, processing, and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Key duties include unloading deliveries, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, preparing outgoing shipments with proper labeling and documentation, and maintaining organized shipping and receiving areas. A strong commitment to workplace Safety is essential, requiring all employees to wear the designated PPE and follow all safety procedures diligently. This role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, and the ability to perform Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. We seek individuals who are organized, possess excellent communication skills, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log all incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Process and stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup.
- Prepare shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain organized and tidy receiving and shipping docks.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE .
- Ensure seamless coordination of inbound and outbound Logistics .
- Must be able to perform moderate to heavy Lifting .
