We are seeking an efficient Picker/Packer to bolster our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanning devices.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Pack orders efficiently and securely, using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for outgoing logistics.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts through diligent picking processes.
- Keep the picking and packing stations clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely when needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
- Assist in other warehouse functions as directed to support the overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking and packing or warehouse operations is a strong asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability of lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
