As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications and safely packing them for shipment. You will work closely with other warehouse team members and supervisors to meet daily shipping goals.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using a handheld scanner or pick list.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack products securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation to packages.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
