Responsibilities:
- Retrieve designated items from warehouse storage locations using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Prepare items for shipment by carefully packing them into appropriate boxes or containers.
- Select correct packing materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any required documentation to packages.
- Perform quality checks on picked and packed items to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Comply with all company policies, including those regarding the use of PPE and general warehouse safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience as a picker or packer in a warehouse or distribution setting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting items up to 45 lbs.
- Good manual dexterity for careful handling and packing of goods.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order information.
- Effective time management skills to meet productivity standards.
- Willingness to work cooperatively within a team.
- Knowledge of logistics and shipping procedures is a plus.
- Must adhere to safety protocols and wear provided PPE.
