You will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition. While the role is primarily administrative, there will be occasions requiring some physical tasks, including moderate Lifting and the handling of packages. We prioritize workplace safety and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipment documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify the accuracy of orders being shipped against documentation.
- Ensure all packages are correctly labeled, weighed, and measured.
- Maintain organized shipping records and logs.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving tasks and inventory management as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and common office applications.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety, including PPE use.
