We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Boise, Idaho. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for processing outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently, ensuring all orders are prepared correctly for transit. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, including domestic and international.
- Verify order details and shipping addresses for accuracy.
- Generate shipping labels and packing slips using our shipping software.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL).
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage and ensure proper packaging.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Assist with receiving duties as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE for any required Lifting.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 35 lbs).
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with shipping regulations and documentation.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
