As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for selecting the correct items from inventory and preparing them for shipment, ensuring they are packed securely and labeled correctly. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelving and storage locations using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product accuracy and quantity against order details.
- Pack items carefully into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation to outgoing packages.
- Operate hand tools and packing equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at your packing station and throughout the warehouse.
- Follow all company safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to the shift supervisor.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, such as receiving, stocking, or inventory counts, as needed.
- Perform regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse duties is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and understand pick sheets and shipping instructions accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work at a steady pace in a dynamic environment.
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of logistics and shipping processes.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
