Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify against purchase orders or shipping manifests.
- Accurately record and log all received and shipped items.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials efficiently and safely.
- Organize and maintain inventory within the shipping and receiving areas.
- Coordinate with carriers for timely pick-ups and deliveries.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- This role involves frequent Lifting, often up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to upholding Safety standards and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, and significant Lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
