Order Picker

Job Summary:
Join our team as an Order Picker in Richmond, Virginia, and play a critical role in our warehousing and logistics operations. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our inventory to fulfill customer orders. Responsibilities:

• Receive and interpret picking orders, often using RF scanners or paper pick lists.
• Locate and retrieve the correct items from designated warehouse locations.
• Verify item numbers, descriptions, and quantities against the order to ensure accuracy.
• Transport picked items to the packing or staging area using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy in order picking to minimize errors and returns.
• Adhere to all warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines, including proper use of equipment and PPE.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions to ensure efficient workflow and Safety.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process by performing tasks promptly and accurately.
• Must be comfortable with repetitive motions and frequent Lifting of items that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Follow all directives from supervisors regarding task assignments and Safety regulations.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics role, particularly as an Order Picker, is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand picking instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent Lifting throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with RF scanning technology is advantageous.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to strictly adhere to all Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
