Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing orders against packing slips and customer orders.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., sales, warehouse operations) regarding shipping status and potential issues.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and scanners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping dock area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and shipping software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including frequent bending, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
