Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Verify outbound shipments against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper labeling and secure packaging.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse equipment as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Support efficient logistics operations by ensuring timely dispatch of goods.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping clerk or related warehouse/logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common office applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform some physical tasks, including moderate Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
