Picker/Packer

Job Summary:
We are looking for motivated Picker/Packers to join our distribution team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is essential to our operations, focusing on accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders. You will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring that each order is correctly assembled and packaged. Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanning systems.
• Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
• Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, following established guidelines.
• Use hand-held scanners and other warehouse technology to track inventory and order status.
• Assist with receiving and put-away tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
• Perform quality checks on picked and packed items.
• Operate basic material handling equipment, following all Safety protocols.
• Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
• Adhere to guidelines for the safe use of PPE and proper Lifting techniques to prevent injuries.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Capability of Lifting items up to 40 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment or independently.
• A commitment to workplace Safety and following instructions precisely.
