You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, receiving, put-away, and discrepancy resolution. This position requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of inventory control principles and logistics operations. Your primary goal will be to minimize inventory inaccuracies, prevent stockouts, and ensure efficient stock rotation. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to implement best practices for inventory management and safety. A commitment to accurate record-keeping and the proper use of warehouse equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate data entry.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control procedures.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software (WMS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
