Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in New York City, New York. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of our inventory records and maintaining the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, from receiving and put-away to cycle counts and discrepancy resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory control principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular physical counts, investigating stock discrepancies, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. You will also be involved in developing and maintaining inventory control procedures, managing stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO), and ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently, and strong communication skills to collaborate with various departments. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential. Safety is paramount in our warehouse; adherence to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, is mandatory. This role involves significant lifting and requires the ability to manage heavy items. Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations will be highly beneficial.
