Assistant Controller

to join its Finance team in Miami. This role is an excellent opportunity for a strong accounting professional to support the CFO and Finance leadership during a dynamic growth and start-up phase of the business. The Assistant Controller will support day-to-day accounting operations, financial close activities, and compliance processes, while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and the Global Finance team. This role will contribute to ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and continuous improvement of accounting processes. Main Responsibilities Support end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheet reconciliations Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes in coordination with internal teams and Headquarters Ensure compliance with local regulations and US GAAP accounting principles Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and ad hoc analyses Assist with credit management activities, including monitoring KPIs, collections, and overdue balances Support tax filings, fiscal declarations, and US statutory submissions Act as a key point of contact with Global Finance, auditors, and external consultants, under CFO guidance Support internal controls, procedures, and documentation to ensure audit readiness Contribute to cash flow monitoring, cash forecasting, and treasury-related analyses Support T&E policy administration and accounting treatment Participate in system implementations, process improvements, and technology rollouts as needed Requirements Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus) 57 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within international or fast-paced environments Strong foundation in accounting principles; exposure to US GAAP required Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes Prior experience in Big Four or multinational companies is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP ERP experience strongly preferred Fluent in English Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally Exposure to multiple systems or involvement in system implementations is an advantage
