We are seeking a motivated Commercial Lender I to join a growing commercial banking team. This role is ideal for a current Portfolio Manager or junior Commercial Lender who is ready to transition into a production-focused lending role. with low immediate production pressure, providing a strong foundation to learn, grow, and gradually expand the book. The position emphasizes relationship management, customer service, and disciplined portfolio oversight while developing business development skills over time. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary relationship manager for assigned commercial clients Maintain strong credit quality through ongoing portfolio monitoring and risk management Develop new commercial relationships over time through referrals and client expansion Partner closely with credit, underwriting, and operations teams to support loan structuring and execution Focus on high-touch customer service and responsive client communication Assist with loan renewals, modifications, and annual reviews Ensure compliance with bank policies, credit standards, and regulatory requirements Participate in business development activities as skills and confidence grow
Qualifications Experience as a Portfolio Manager or junior Commercial Lender within a bank Exposure to commercial credit, underwriting, and portfolio management Strong relationship management and customer service mindset Desire to grow into a full commercial lending role and develop a book of business
