Introduction Our client is a hospital that has been providing small animal care to the South Bay community for over 30 years and is currently hiring for a full‑time Associate Veterinarian to join their general practice in Torrance, California.

Working Hours & Rota The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. There are no after‑hours emergencies or on‑call requirements. Doctor hours are to be discussed. This is a full‑time position.

Role Description & Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will develop a rapport with clients to understand their needs and wishes, perform physical examinations, and carry out diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures to deliver high‑quality care while minimizing patient stress. Duties include explaining examination findings, communicating diagnoses, generating and presenting treatment plans, and educating clients on preventative care, including vaccinations and nutrition. The veterinarian will maintain accurate medical and surgical records, follow established protocols, assist with follow‑up care, stay up to date through Continuing Education, support team development, and represent the hospital positively in the community. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Candidate Requirements

Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA).

Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in.

Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting base salary of $150,000 + production.

Up to $75,000 sign‑on bonus.

120 hours PTO + 40 additional CE PTO hours.

$3,500 annual CE allowance (licenses, dues, conference expenses).
