The Position Hours: Monday‑Thursday 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on departmental needs.

New employees will begin on Step G ($5,387.63). Step placement is non‑negotiable. FLSA Non‑exempt (may accrue overtime). Salary ranges from $5,387.63 to $6,417.36 per month based on the 2024 Classified salary schedule.

Desired Qualifications

Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Maintain interrelated records and files.

Maintain records and prepare reports.

Operate standard office machines and equipment, including computers and calculators.

Perform a wide variety of paraprofessional accounting work.

Post data and make arithmetical calculations with speed and accuracy.

Prepare clear and accurate financial statements and reports and analyze accounting data.

Use computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases.

Work confidentially with discretion.

Work independently with little direction.

Foreign Degree Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, INC. (ACEI). A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with your online application.

Conditions of Employment

Submit “official” college transcripts as stated on application (even if a degree is not a requirement);

Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial appointment (renew every 4 years);

Have fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer at the District's expense (clearance required prior to first day);

Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States (I‑9 form);

Attend a new‑hire processing appointment in People, Culture, and Technology Services located at the District Administrative Offices.

Employment After Retirement If you accept a contract (permanent) position with SDCCD and are a retired annuitant with CalPERS or CalSTRS, you must reinstate from your retirement system.

Pay Information Salary range: $5,387.63–$6,417.36 per month. FLSA Non‑exempt (may accrue overtime). Employees may be eligible for comprehensive fringe benefits based on full‑time equivalent assignment.
