Bond Program Senior Accounting Technician (Restricted) Applications are currently being accepted for the Bond Program Senior Accounting Technician in the Special Funds department of the Finance and Business Services Division, located at the District Office.

Pay & Benefits Pay Information (Range 23): $5,448.21 – $6,814.00 per month based on the current cataloged salary schedule. New employees will begin at Step F ($5,448.21). Salary negotiation is not allowed. Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA. The position is FLSA Non‑Exempt (may accrue overtime).

Excellent benefits

are provided to all contract employees with assignments greater than or equal to 50% (0.50 FTE) and all eligible dependents. A temporary probationary period will apply to the employee entering this assignment.

Location & Hours Location: District Office Hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on departmental needs. Employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

Responsibilities This position supports the Bond Program Accounting Supervisor in the execution and ongoing implementation of Measure HH bonds. The role is restricted and may continue contingent upon grant funding.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in construction, projects, and interpreting contracts and schedules.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables; PeopleSoft Accounting software experience is a plus.

Experience in Bond Measures.

Effective communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Foreign Degree Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, INC. (ACEI). A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with your online application.

Conditions of Employment Selected candidate is required to complete the following prior to employment:

Undergo fingerprinting via Live Scan (Clearance must be received before first day of employment).

Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States as required by the I‑9 Employment Eligibility Verification form.

Attend a new hire processing appointment in People, Culture, and Technology Services located at the District Administrative Offices.

Employment After Retirement Retired annuitants with CalPERS or CalSTRS who accept a contract (permanent) position must reinstate from their retirement system. Refer to the CalPERS or CalSTRS website for further information.
