Are you ready to take the lead on impactful land development projects and guide a talented team of engineers and designers? One of our key clients is looking for a seasoned civil engineering professional who thrives on collaboration, client engagement, and delivering top-tier design solutions for communities across North Carolina.

What You’ll Do As a Director, you'll be the driving force behind a wide range of development projects — from master‑planned residential communities and mixed‑use developments to commercial sites.

Leading project teams in the design of site development plans: paving, grading, stormwater, water/sewer infrastructure, and more

Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and managing expectations

Overseeing project timelines, budgets, reporting, and invoicing

Providing mentorship and technical guidance to engineers and CAD technicians

Collaborating with municipalities and utility providers to move projects through to approval

What We’re Looking For

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in North Carolina, or the ability to obtain one

At least 10 years of experience in civil site design — with a focus on land development for residential or mixed‑use communities

5+ years in a project management role, or demonstrated leadership as a senior project engineer or assistant PM

Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and hydrology/hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., HEC-HMS, StormCAD)

Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and visual

Experience coordinating with local governments, permitting agencies, and utility companies
