Picker/Packer

Job Summary:
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our dynamic logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in our distribution center, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order slips and efficiently packing these items into appropriate shipping containers. This role is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations according to order specifications.
• Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
• Pack orders securely and efficiently, using appropriate packing materials to prevent damage during transit.
• Label packages accurately with shipping information.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
• Meet or exceed established productivity and quality standards.
• Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and understand order pick lists and shipping labels.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to perform tasks involving moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Team player attitude.
