Pay Range Base pay: $120,579.00/yr - $156,755.00/yr. Pay is based on skills and experience.

Summary :

Organizational Location: Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Program Management Operations Directorate, Infrastructure, Washington, D.C. Responsibilities In this position, you will lead the planning and execution of assigned programs and manage cost, schedule, performance, budget/financials, and contractor oversight. You will lead Integrated Product Teams across systems engineering, logistics, business management, and contracting to deliver critical capabilities on time and within budget, enabling CBP and DHS to meet operational mission requirements nationwide.

Planning and executing assigned acquisition programs.

Managing cost, schedule, and performance, and overseeing budgets and financials.

Coordinating program control, resource determination, work integration, and schedule adherence.

Keeping leadership informed of progress, issues, resolutions, cost impacts, milestones, and budgets throughout all program phases.

Conducting field visits and overseeing program implementation.

Implementing government decisions, laws, regulations, and policy in developing project plans and intermediate products.

Qualifications Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service. Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years. All pre-employment processes conducted in English. Agreement to background investigation, drug testing, and the DHS Drug‑Free Workplace Plan. Adherence to government ethics standards and conflict of interest statutes. CBP follows E‑Verify for eligibility confirmation.

Experience:

1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level performing duties such as managing acquisition program segments that control cost, schedule, and performance; leading Integrated Product Teams; interpreting and applying acquisition regulations; managing program budgets and finances; and monitoring contractor performance.

Education:

As required by the position (see Qualifications and Required Documents).

Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable, and time‑in‑grade requirements.

Current or former political appointee status requires OPM authorization.

Additional Information Certification: This is a DHS acquisition certification‑covered position. Requires FAI FAC‑P/PM Senior‑Level Program Management certification or the ability to obtain it within 18 months. May also require DHS IT Specialization if assigned to an IT or Mixed Program.
