Job Description
Project Accountant A well-established construction firm seeks a detail-oriented Project Accountant to support financial management across a portfolio of construction projects. This role partners closely with Senior Project Accountants and Project Managers and requires strong communication and organizational skills. This position will be in office 4 days a week, and the salary ranges from $80k to $100k, commensurate with experience. Construction industry experience is required. Key Responsibilities
Manage subcontractor billing and compliance Prepare and verify documentation for owner requisitions Monitor financial risk and ensure compliance with subcontractor default insurance requirements Assist Project Managers with cost tracking, budget reporting, and forecasting Review certified payroll for regulatory compliance Generate and explain project financial reports for field teams Utilize current accounting and project management software Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field At least 2 years of project accounting experience Experience with construction accounting concepts: over/under billings, cashflow, forecast-to-complete, revenue recognition Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams) Experience with accounting software; Sage Timberline and Oracle Textura preferred
