Network/Systems Security Engineer

Overview GovCIO is currently hiring for a System/Network Security Engineer for our NIH-CIT proposal. This position will be located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with the Section Manager and Team Lead to support network availability and integrity with confidentiality and security
Communicate, investigate, triage, monitor, and respond to security incidents, events, alerts, and issues according to standard operating procedures and in collaboration with NS Operations
Contribute to alert threshold refinements and continuous improvements to the Security Section for the benefit of customer satisfaction
Collaborate with Security SMEs on best practices
Assist mid-level and junior network security engineers on tasks as needed
Mentor mid-level and junior network security engineers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of IT engineering experience (or commensurate experience)
Ability to maintain a Public Trust clearance

Pay Range Posted Salary Range: USD $103,000.00 - USD $103,000.00 /Yr.
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment; base pay may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package may also include other elements discussed during the hiring process.
