Overview This position is contingent upon contract award. GovCIO is currently hiring for Network Engineer (Edge Operations) Level II to support our NIH/CIT proposal. This position will be located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.
Responsibilities
Responsible for delivering optimal availability and quality regarding the network routing and switching, IP security, the wide area network services
Participate in daily stand ups and utilize the kanban methodology to triage and resolve incidents and problems within established SLAs
As directed by senior engineers, participate in shift lead duties to serve as “queue managers” to ensure each escalated issue is efficiently assigned, actively being worked by expediting resolution and fulfillment to meet SLAs
Assist with proactive measures such as network monitoring, analysis, maintenance/patching, and documentation
Provide suggestions to management on continuous improvements in regards to communications, customer understanding, tools, technology, and equipment.
Qualifications Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
5 years of relevant Network Services experience.
Experience delivering optimal availability and quality regarding the network routing and switching, IP security, the wide area network services
Clearance Required:
Must be able to obtain and maintain NIH/CIT Public Trust
Preferred Skills and Experience
CCNA/CCNP is desired.
Experience with security is desired.
