The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking Tooling Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and modify manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of existing tooling. Optimize tooling processes and designs to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce costs. Collaborate with production, design, and quality teams to implement tooling solutions. Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement corrective actions. Manage tooling projects from initial concept through design, fabrication, and implementation. Evaluate and select appropriate tooling materials, equipment, and external vendors. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. 3-5 years of experience in tooling design, manufacturing, or maintenance. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling design and analysis. Strong knowledge of tooling materials, manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, stamping), and GD&T. Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, optimize performance, and improve manufacturing efficiency. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis). Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Proficiency in additive manufacturing techniques for tooling applications. Project management experience leading tooling development projects.
