The Team Our Life Sciences practice provides a broad range of services for clients operating in an industry with high risks and rewards. We understand the urgency of their business and put our expertise to work when they need it most. We focus on achieving key objectives such as navigating financial constraints, maximizing product launch impact, and scaling during growth periods. How You Will Contribute As a Director, you will lead a team and serve as the main conduit between clients and our team on a range of complex assignments. You will manage projects by overseeing interview activities, gathering relevant data, developing goals and deadlines, reviewing work products of junior staff, and communicating directly with clients.
Engage in C‑suite and board‑level conversations regarding client challenges and strategic initiatives.
Function effectively in interim roles (e.g., CEO, CFO, CCO) as needed.
Help clients understand their competitive advantages and product/service line profitability.
Synthesize insights from research and data to develop tailored strategic frameworks and actionable recommendations.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and coordinate with leadership and the case team.
Manage engagement economics, budgeting, billing, collections, and profitability.
Build client relationships to identify opportunities to expand business and generate leads.
Mentor, coach, and share knowledge with colleagues and the wider business.
Train and develop junior staff.
Qualifications
Minimum eight years of prior work experience in the life sciences industry, at least four in consulting.
Ability to solve tough problems and turn projects around quickly.
Values a supportive team atmosphere with input from all members.
Demonstrated expertise, creativity, and proactive mindset.
Proven track record in assessing and managing risk and identifying trends.
Strong leadership experience managing teams, with a passion for helping others deliver value.
Track record of practical solutions and a strong professional network.
Compensation The annual base salary range: $170,000–$190,000. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
Benefits Regular employees working 30+ hours per week are eligible for fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverage, plus a 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary contribution. Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (prorated for part time), ten federal holidays, a floating holiday, and parental leave.
