Description We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support key operations within a local government office in Richmond, Virginia. This long-term contract position requires someone who is detail oriented and can manage administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining confidentiality. The role is ideal for candidates with experience in clerical work, data entry, and providing exceptional support to staff and clients. Responsibilities:
- Handle sensitive client information with discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Provide clerical support to caseworkers, assisting with tasks such as filing and document preparation.
- Perform accurate data entry to maintain updated records and reports.
- Manage inbound calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or individual.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure client requests are processed efficiently.
- Perform receptionist duties, such as greeting visitors and managing front desk operations.
- Organize and maintain office supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and meetings for staff as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative or clerical roles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Detail-oriented approach and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with office equipment and basic computer applications.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
