Scripps La Jolla shares a campus with the Barbey Family Emergency and Trauma Center, a Level I Trauma Center, and the renowned Prebys Cardiovascular Institute. We’re also home to notable specialty programs, including cancer care, heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services (including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit) and a nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center.
This is a casual status also known as Per Diem position. The shift runs 0500‑11pm, 12 hours per shift. Commitment of 4 shifts per 4‑week schedule is expected. No call is required but is available if desired. Training is typically 3 weeks.

We are a high‑functioning, evidence‑driven team within a Magnet hospital and Level I trauma center, dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient‑centered surgical care. As part of our team, you will expertly prepare and recover patients across cardiac cath lab, operating room, interventional radiology, and endoscopy settings—ensuring seamless transitions and top‑tier outcomes. Supported by cutting‑edge technology and cohesive interdisciplinary collaboration, our nurses maintain rigorous standards and adapt fluidly to diverse case volumes. Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year RN experience.
Current CA RN License.
Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstration of positive behaviors.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Pre‑Op → PACU RN experience strongly preferred.
ICU or Emergency department RN experience.
Flexibility with work environments within the department.
Position Pay Range: $59.16 – $85.68 per hour.
Seniority level: Entry level.
