LED Phantom, a leading provider of innovative LED lighting & controls solutions, is seeking a VP of Sales to drive revenue growth by developing and managing customer relationships and promoting our products and services to potential customers. This role requires a high sense of urgency, active listening, and a fast-paced, competitive environment with a solution-based selling mindset. The successful candidate will utilize their skills in solution-based selling to identify customer needs and leverage our innovative LED lighting products to provide solutions that exceed customer expectations.

The emphasis on building rapport and relationships with individuals and groups requires an outgoing, poised and persuasive communication style. Because the pace of the work is faster than average, the ability to learn quickly and thoroughly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions is critical. The scope of the job may require effective delegation to proven people. Especially routine and repetitive details should be delegated but with responsibility for follow up and accountability for timely results. While the job requires the ability to act independently, a sense of urgency and the confidence to handle a variety of challenges, a full commitment to the success of the business and high standards of achievement are expected in this position. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals and lighting industry trends.

Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team (account managers, business development, inside sales).

Set clear KPIs, quotas, and performance standards to achieve revenue goals.

Conduct regular pipeline reviews and forecasting to ensure consistent performance and goal alignment.

Identify new revenue opportunities in commercial, industrial, distributor, and OEM lighting channels.

Build and expand relationships with major distributors, contractors, architects, designers, and national accounts.

Lead negotiations of large contracts, bids, rebates, programs, and partnership agreements.

Market & Product Expertise

Stay current with LED lighting technologies, smart lighting, controls, and sustainability trends.

Partner with product development and engineering to guide future product roadmaps based on market needs.

Analyze competitors, pricing trends, rebates, and utility programs to maintain strong competitive positioning.

Operational Excellence

Implement sales processes, CRM utilization, and reporting standards for accountability and efficiency.

Collaborate with Marketing to drive lead generation, campaigns, and brand presence in lighting verticals.

Align with Operations and Fulfillment to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory planning, and customer satisfaction.

Customer & Stakeholder Relationships

Oversee key customer accounts, ensuring high service standards and long-term partnerships.

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and national lighting associations (IES, NALMCO, etc.).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).

7–15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the lighting, electrical, building materials, or energy solutions industry.

Proven track record of scaling sales teams and achieving multi-million-dollar revenue targets.

Strong understanding of LED technology, distribution networks, rebate programs, and commercial lighting markets.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
