Engineering Assistant 3 / Engineering Associate / Engineer/Architect 1 – Anchorage.
Notice: Alaska residents only. Base Salary
Engineering Assistant 3: $43.19 hourly, OT eligible Engineering Associate: $43.19 hourly, OT eligible Engineer/Architect 1: $3,459.75 bi‑weekly, OT ineligible Responsibilities
Assist Project Manager in federally funded airport improvement projects across central and western Alaska. Negotiate engineering consultant contracts, review project designs for quality and compliance. Coordinate technical issues, manage project scopes, budgets and schedules. Provide guidance on federal and state airport design standards. Mission & Culture

Occasional travel to remote communities (often by small single‑engine aircraft). Qualifications
Core competencies: Self‑Management, Problem‑Solving, Technical Competence, General Engineering. Minimum Qualifications
Engineering Assistant 3 :
Bachelor’s in engineering, architecture or land surveying (ABET‑accredited) plus 2 years experience with at least one year at trainee level. Alternatively, non‑ABET degree plus EIT/FE certification, plus 2 years experience with one year at trainee level.
Engineering Associate : 8 years progressively responsible work including one year as an Engineering Assistant 3. Engineer/Architect 1 : Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect.
Non‑Alaska registration acceptable if recognized and converted within one year. Application Requirements
