Associate General Counsel A private, family‑run Minnesota company with about 1,000 employees is searching for an Associate General Counsel to lead its in‑house legal team of five attorneys. The team primarily operates from the office but typically works from home once a week, and the legal group has a strong record of low turnover – one member has worked there for more than 25 years.

Base pay range $150,000.00/yr – $215,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Handle a broad range of legal matters with a primary focus on Commercial Real Estate (CRE) leasing matters.

Draft, negotiate, and close lease transactions, purchase and sale agreements, and property management contracts.

Manage relationships with outside litigation counsel and oversee real‑estate litigation matters.

Draft and negotiate other types of contracts and provide legal guidance for security‑related matters.

Handle insurance and bankruptcy matters as they arise.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience in CRE, with demonstrated comfort in handling lease, purchase, sale, and property‑management transactions.

Experience in real‑estate litigation and managing outside counsel would be ideal.

Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a tight‑knit team and across business divisions.
