Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive case strategies for complex commercial litigation matters, providing strategic counsel to clients on high‑stakes disputes.

Draft substantive legal documents, including dispositive motions, summary judgment briefs, appellate briefs, and other sophisticated pleadings for federal and state courts.

Manage discovery efforts independently, including drafting discovery requests and responses, overseeing document productions, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel.

Collaborate with technical and industry experts, managing expert‑related tasks such as expert selection, report review, and preparation for depositions and trial testimony.

Engage directly with clients on case strategy, litigation updates, and risk assessment, building strong client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor.

Handle class action defense matters, including class certification briefing, settlement negotiations, and managing multi‑jurisdictional litigation.

Work on privacy litigation, including data breach cases, TCPA matters, VPPA claims, and other privacy‑related disputes affecting technology companies.

Participate in appellate litigation, including drafting appellate briefs, preparing for oral arguments, and developing appellate strategies.

Manage projects independently with limited supervision, demonstrating judgment, initiative, and the ability to handle complex matters efficiently.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Bar admission in the jurisdiction of employment (California, District of Columbia, New York, or Illinois required); additional bar admissions welcomed.

Minimum of four years of commercial litigation experience, with demonstrated proficiency in all phases of complex litigation.

Experience defending class action litigation strongly preferred, including knowledge of class certification standards, settlement negotiations, and multi‑district litigation.

Familiarity with federal and state privacy laws is highly advantageous, including CCPA, TCPA, VPPA, BIPA, and other consumer privacy statutes.
