Founding Head of GTM . We are a fast‑growing
Legal Tech & InsurTech startup
solving a massive pain point for Property & Casualty (P&C) carriers and litigation teams. We don't just 'manage' claims—our AI workforce reads documents, spot gaps, and automates the grunt work that currently takes humans 15‑20 hours per file.
This is
not
a 'VP of Sales' role where you hire 10 reps and sit in forecast meetings. This is a
Player‑Coach
role for a builder who wants to own the revenue engine—from the first cold call to the signed enterprise contract, and eventually, to hiring the team that scales it.
You will work directly with the Founder. You will set the playbook. You will close the marquee deals.
What You Will Actually Do
Execute
(60%): Lead hunter. Identify high‑value carriers and law firms, bypass gatekeepers, run discovery calls, and close deals. Build and close the pipeline yourself first.
Strategize
(20%): Define our ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) and pricing strategy based on real market feedback. Turn insights into a repeatable sales motion.
Build
(20%): Lay the foundation for the future sales team—create playbooks, set up CRM architecture, and eventually hire and train the first cohort of AEs.
Requirements
5+ Years of
Legal Tech / InsurTech Sales Experience : sold SaaS to insurance carriers or law firms, understand P&C claims complexity, 'billable hour' mindset, and multi‑stakeholder enterprise deals.
A Proven 'Zero‑to‑One' Builder : track record of taking a product from $0 or low revenue to $1M+ ARR and securing meetings without a brand name.
No 'Big Company' Hangovers: manage own day, use modern tools (HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Nav), hit targets without micromanagement.
Technical Aptitude: explain how our AI works without a Sales Engineer on every call; understand difference between 'automation' and 'AI agents'.
