Job Description & Duties Under the general direction of a Caltrans Maintenance Area Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees a crew of maintenance personnel responsible for maintaining planted areas bordering freeways and highways within an assigned area, and also supervises the Probationer litter and Transient Camp removal program. The Supervisor coordinates the use of equipment, trains crew members, may be required to work overtime, weekends, or varying shift schedules, and is expected to respond to emergency calls. This position is not represented under collective bargaining.

Special Requirements

Valid, unrestricted Class C driver’s license required.

Valid, unrestricted Class A or B driver’s license desirable.

Possession of a driver’s license required when operating a State‑owned or leased vehicle.
