Associate Talent Specialist @Ascendion Hiring for Microsoft (USA)

This role supports Windows Storage and File Systems, maintaining and improving testing infrastructure for storage components.
Base Pay Range $124,800.00/yr – $145,600.00/yr
Typical Day in the Role
Support Windows Storage and File Systems by maintaining and improving storage component testing infrastructure.
Debug and fix legacy tests, reduce test noise, identify product vs. test bugs, and convert older tests (e.g., WTT) into modern platforms.
Use C/C++ debugging, PowerShell scripting, and domain knowledge in storage systems (preferred).
Job Responsibilities
Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
Test system modifications in preparation for implementation.
Develop testing programs addressing database impacts, software scenarios, or usability.
Document software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to developers.
Analyze and document problems with program function, output, or content.
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
5–6 years of experience with C, C++, C#, and scripting languages.
Experience testing software and writing test documentation (Test Plans, scripts, test results reports).
Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations for improvement.
