Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Georgetown, KY
Duration: 12 Months Contract
What you’ll be doing A Senior Mechanical Engineer for the PLE Advanced Planning & Innovation team will support innovative planning and analysis by:
Offering technical support for early project planning, focusing on industrial building mechanical system design and pre‑construction analysis.
Conducting studies on innovative technical design and implementation procedures, including cost and schedule impacts.
Researching and benchmarking industry trends to enhance building design and installation, supporting quality, cost, schedule, and safety goals.
Developing and supporting project justifications, business cases, and management presentations.
Providing technical expertise throughout the planning, design, and construction phases, including cross‑department collaboration.
Requirements What you bring
Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) or 5+ years in hands‑on building mechanical system experience.
5+ years of experience in building design, construction, and/or operation/maintenance.
5+ years of experience in industrial building mechanical systems (HVAC, process piping, chilled water, compressed air, etc.).
3+ years of reporting & presentation skills, including intermediate level computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook).
What you may bring
Professional Engineering (PE) License.
Experience in industrial control or automation systems (i.e. Energy/Building Management Systems, fire alarm systems, SCADA, etc.).
Experience in industrial building chemical systems (waste water, tank farms, etc.).
Experience in cross‑departmental collaboration.
Experience with Power BI, Bluebeam Revu, Navisworks, and/or AutoCAD.
Industry related certifications in ASHRAE, CEM, LEED AP, PMP, etc.
Fundamental skills of problem solving and desire to improve/kaizen.
