We’re working with a top-tier heavy civil contractor in
North Carolina
that’s looking for a
Senior Estimator
to lead pursuit efforts on high-value transportation, water, and site development projects across the region.
This is a great opportunity for a seasoned preconstruction professional ready to take ownership of complex bids and drive results on landmark civil infrastructure jobs.
Responsibilities
Lead detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and construction schedules
Develop and maintain subcontractor/vendor databases and bid lists
Coordinate bid submissions, proposal packages, and prequalification documents
Interface with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope and deliverables
Monitor DBE/WBE/MBE participation goals and compliance throughout the bid process
Support value engineering and risk analysis during pursuit phases
Qualifications
7+ years of experience estimating heavy civil or infrastructure projects
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (PE preferred)
Expertise in HCSS, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and takeoff software (e.g., PlanSwift or similar)
Strong communication and leadership skills with a proactive, team-driven mindset
Familiarity with NCDOT standards and design-build delivery methods is a plus
