Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC/Originating Operator & Tool Service to join our team. This hands‑on role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment, as well as maintaining and managing tooling for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities CNC Operator (primary role):
Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (e.g., Haas Lathe ST-20Y) using
Mastercam
and G-code.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints for machining operations.
Conduct first‑article and in‑process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
Optimize machining processes for quality and efficiency.
Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
Tooling & Originating Operations:
Operate and maintain H‑frame hydraulic press (training provided).
Qualify, assemble, and kit tooling for cold nut formers.
Manage tooling inventory; issue, receive, and track tooling with database systems.
Perform changeovers per production schedule.
Prepare material for wire draw machines.
Operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment.
Perform basic maintenance, tightening/loosening of parts, use hand/power tools.
Accurately document production, S.P.C. data, material verifications, and ERP entries.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of CNC programming and operation experience.
Proficiency in
Mastercam
and G-code programming.
Strong mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot tooling/machining issues.
Experience with measuring tools (micrometers, gauges, etc.).
Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Solid math and computer skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
