Ryder has just opened a new state‑of‑the‑art warehouse in Port Deposit, MD and is immediately hiring Permanent Full‑time Cherry Picker Material Handlers. This position is a Regular – Full Time (Permanent) role.
Salary & Schedule
Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour for day shift
Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working night shift
Schedules: Wednesday‑Saturday 12‑hour day or night shifts, with a half day on Wednesday
Pay Frequency: Weekly

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Ability to work within a diverse work environment and be a team player
Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and with a good attendance record
High initiative and a strong sense of accuracy, even under pressure
Ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods; follow health and safety methods
Availability to work a flexible schedule on various shifts
Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Important Note Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records checks, a road test, and/or specific background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Maintain accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.
