The Manager, Inventory Planning & Analytics, is responsible for leading the development and execution of short- to mid-term planning strategies to ensure optimal inventory availability across the global supply chain of NCLH. This position oversees the Inventory Management System (IMS), demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, and resource alignment to achieve operational readiness targets. The role directs the development and prioritization of dashboards and reporting, providing comprehensive oversight that integrates analytics, planning, and operational execution. Additionally, the Manager aligns inventory strategies with overall business objectives, serves as a liaison with IT, leadership, and other departments, and collaborates with the Director to drive data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and standardization of planning processes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of the Inventory Management System (IMS), integrating demand and supply planning processes to balance forecasted requirements with inventory targets and operational constraints.
Translate budgeted demand plans into actionable supply plans across all material categories and fleet operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Supervise and develop a team of Supply Chain Planners, providing coaching, performance feedback, and opportunities for skill enhancement.
Drive the planning calendar and cadence (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to support Supply Chain Management initiatives, including IMS deployment and global inventory optimization.
Monitor supply chain performance and budget adherence, proactively managing inventory levels and initiating corrective actions to address variances or exceptions.
Identify and mitigate supply risks such as shortages, regulatory constraints, or production delays through collaboration with cross-functional teams. Develop and maintain planning-related data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting tools to inform decision-making and identify emerging trends.
Partner with IT and systems teams to enhance planning tools and ensure the integrity of master data, with a primary focus on IMS and MXP systems. Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing planning accuracy, inventory health, and service level performance.
Represent the Inventory Management and Planning function in executive reviews, operational planning sessions, and strategic projects.
QUALIFICATIONS DEGREE TYPE:
Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY:
Supply Chain Management, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in demand planning, supply planning, or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) within a complex or global supply chain environment.
At least three years of proven leadership experience in people management or planning roles, demonstrating the ability to guide and develop teams.
Demonstrated expertise in leading cross-functional planning processes and utilizing advanced planning software, such as JDA, O9, SAP, Oracle, or Kinaxis.
Proven capability to manage multiple material categories, diverse stakeholders, and various planning horizons, including both short- and mid-term strategies.
Preferred experience in regulated or high-complexity industries, such as cruise, hospitality, manufacturing, or retail.
