Position Summary
Walmart is expanding its workforce and seeks a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team.
The role involves maintaining and repairing facilities and equipment using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling skills while ensuring a safe, efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment). Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities. Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Minimum Qualifications
18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid state‑issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report. Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 7 years of experience in any of these trades. 1 year of experience using intermediate‑level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to move up and down ladders frequently. Comfortable working at heights frequently.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program. License in a related trade in the city or state where the job is located.
