Responsibilities

Active monitoring of entrances, exits, parking lots, and common areas.

Routine patrols of assigned buildings, including after-hours checks.

Prompt response to alarms, incidents, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures.

Enforcing access control and building security protocols.

Identifying and reporting safety hazards.

Maintaining a professional and approachable presence.

Promptly document and report security incidents, safety hazards, and maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor and through designated campus reporting channels.

Assist in identifying and addressing potential safety risks.

Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and reports of suspicious activity.

Participate in safety drills, training sessions, and emergency preparedness exercises.

Coordinate with campus police, facilities staff, and emergency services during critical incidents or building evacuations.

Assist with continuity of operations planning and implementation.

Provide basic first aid until medical professionals arrive.

Assist in enforcing campus and law school policies, building regulations, and safety protocols to support a secure and orderly environment.

Contribute to student, faculty, and staff orientations by preparing and/or delivering presentations.

Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience (post high-school education or experience may substitute at a comparable rate). Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established security protocols.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
