Position Summary
Universal Renewables is seeking an experienced, execution‑driven Commercial Solar Installation Supervisor to lead on‑site construction activities from mobilization planning to final completion. The Supervisor will coordinate with field crews, create and manage project schedules, oversee quality and safety, and ensure all commercial solar projects meet deadlines and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day‑to‑day operations for commercial rooftop solar installations.
Work closely with construction crews and lead them on‑site to ensure efficient and high‑quality work.
Create timelines and detailed project schedules for all ongoing projects and ensure milestones are met.
Assign daily tasks, track progress, and adjust manpower as needed.
Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to crew members.
Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce OSHA and company safety protocols.
Maintain compliance with construction execution, materials, equipment, site logistics, safety & quality control, communication & reporting, budget & timeline awareness.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in commercial solar installation, construction supervision, or related field.
Strong ability to create and manage project schedules using Excel (Gantt charts, timelines, labor plans, material schedules).
Proficient in using the company CRM, Excel for project tracking, task assignment, timelines, and reporting.
Proven leadership experience managing crews of 4–15+ workers.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical diagrams.
NABCEP PV Installation Professional or PV Associate certification preferred.
Experience with commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, metal).
Experience managing subcontractors and interacting with general contractors.
Forklift or boom lift operation certification.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
Ability to work on rooftops, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods.
Comfortable working in varied outdoor weather conditions.
Compensation & Benefits
