Job Details We are a boutique law firm specializing in commercial litigation, and we are seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full‑time position that offers the opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases in a wide range of areas, including breach of contract, employment/labor, real estate, construction, business disputes, and dispute resolution.
Responsibilities
Managing all aspects of litigation cases from inception through to resolution
Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents
Conducting legal research and analysis to develop case strategies
Representing clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Collaborating with our team of attorneys to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, legal trends, and industry developments that may impact our clients
Participating in business development initiatives, including networking events and client meetings
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the state bar
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation
Proven experience in handling cases related to breach of contract, employment/labor, real estate, construction, and business disputes
Demonstrated expertise in dispute resolution techniques, including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for our clients
High level of professionalism and ethical standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines
