Established South Florida Landscape Company is seeking qualified, highly organized landscape maintenance professionals to join our growing team, which caters to commercial and government clients in the fields of landscape maintenance, design & installation, and arbor care.
Eligible for Health Insurance.
Hourly Rate:
Up to $23.00 per hour, contingent on experience.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Position Description
The Tree Trimmer is responsible for maintaining and caring for trees, palms, shrubs, and other vegetation. This role involves cutting, trimming, and pruning trees to ensure their health and safety, as well as enhancing their appearance.
Essential Job Functions
The list below describes general duties and responsibilities but is not limited to:
Inspect trees and shrubs to assess their condition and determine necessary care.
Use hand tools, chainsaws, and other equipment to trim, cut, and prune trees and shrubs to meet or exceed ANSI-A300 standards.
Remove dead or hazardous branches and limbs to ensure safety and promote healthy growth.
Operate chainsaw properly and safely.
Operate bucket truck boom lift and woodchipper properly and safely.
Operate and maintain equipment, such as chippers and stump grinders.
Clean up debris and dispose of it properly.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for tree care.
Job Requirements
1+ years of experience in tree & palm trimming.
1+ years of experience in bucket truck boom lift and woodchipper operation.
Knowledge of proper pruning techniques and best practices for palms and hardwood trees.
Proficiency in proper chainsaw operation.
Willingness to learn and attend industry-related trainings.
Attention to detail when working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Punctual and dependable.
Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record. CDL Preferred.
Certification in arboriculture or related field is a plus.
Proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
Must pass a pre-employment screening including Level-II Background Check and drug test.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods, digging and lifting heavy objects of up to 55lbs.
Must be able to work in and around various landscaping settings including direct contact with various plant and landscaping materials and exposure to various dust and noise.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
