Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to support ongoing projects in cardio‑pulmonary vascular and molecular biology. These roles involve a wide range of molecular biology techniques, in vivo animal work (primarily in mice), and data analysis, contributing to studies focused on cardiovascular and pulmonary vascular diseases. Successful candidates will work in a collaborative research environment, assisting in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments related to gene regulation, tissue remodeling, and vascular function. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to research publications and gain experience with state‑of‑the‑art methodologies.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and advanced molecular biology techniques, including qPCR, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
Assist with the maintenance of mouse colonies: genotyping, breeding, weaning, and colony management.
Conduct animal handling and experimental procedures: tissue harvesting, drug administration, and phenotyping of mouse models.
Process and analyze biological samples (tissues, blood, cells).
Maintain detailed and organized laboratory records.
Collaborate with team members and support the overall goals of the lab.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science or related field preferred, or a combination of relevant research experience and education.
0–2 years of research/laboratory experience.
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, or related field.
At least 1–2 years of hands‑on lab experience in molecular biology techniques.
Prior experience with mouse models and comfortable handling of laboratory animals.
Proficient in qPCR, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and basic tissue culture techniques.
Familiarity with data analysis tools and statistics (GraphPad Prism, Excel, R, or similar).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
