Role Purpose The Logistics Coordinator is essential in ensuring the smooth coordination of inbound and outbound logistics operations in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of logistics and international shipping processes, and the ability to manage bookings and carrier communications effectively. This position bridges operational logistics with financial accuracy, contributing to overall supply chain efficiency in a dynamic solar manufacturing environment.
Duties And Responsibilities
Material and shipment coordination: Arrange the transfer of raw materials to external warehouses and the delivery of finished products from the factory to warehouses.
Logistics and vehicle management: Coordinate and arrange vehicle transport for both incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products, ensuring there are no vehicle shortages or waste.
Data and reporting: Analyzing logistics data to identify inefficiencies, track performance, and make data-driven decisions to improve overall supply chain performance.
International shipping: Handling Ocean, air, and ground freight, including booking, tracking, and managing documentation for both import and export operations.
Customs and compliance: Work closely with custom brokers and trade compliance to ensure compliance with import/export regulations, managing customs documentation, and staying up to date on international trade laws.
Stakeholder communication: Acting as a key point of contact for external partners (carriers, suppliers, brokers) and internal teams.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
3-5 years experience.
SAP Experience preferred.Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analytics.
High attention to detail and accountability in managing operational logistics.
Understanding of international logistics, shipping documentation and customs compliance.
Working knowledge of logistics contracts and pricing models, including warehousing, ocean freight, FTL (Full Truckload), and LTL (Less-than-Truckload) services.
This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $41,441.00 – $56,982.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
