Administrative Assistant Contract-6 months-1 year/+
Houston, TX onsite at office Monday-Friday
Position Summary The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient operations within the department. This role involves managing employee records, preparing staffing reports, maintaining calendars, and assisting with organizational communications. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support: Provide day‑to‑day administrative assistance and clerical work to the department and leadership team.
Calendar Management: Maintain and coordinate department and leadership calendars, schedule meetings, and ensure timely reminders.
Employee Database Management: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employee
Department Roster & Staffing Reports: Prepare and update departmental rosters and staffing reports regularly.
Timesheets & Expense Reports: Collect, review, and process timesheets and expense reports; perform audits for accuracy and compliance.
Travel Coordination: Arrange travel accommodations and itineraries for staff as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus but not required
Bilingual preferred (Eng/Spa)
Experience:
2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in a corporate or departmental setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
